Taking your Puppy Home

Please bring a crate or someone to hold the puppy for the trip home. It is normal for the puppy to whine on the way home and for the first week they are at their new home.

Normally the puppy vaccination is given at 7 weeks. Your puppy will be due for another at 9 to 10 weeks.  Follow your vets program on vaccinations. We will give you a vaccination and worming record to take to your vet.

We will provide you with some puppy food that your puppy is currently eating so you can transition your new puppy over to what you would like to feed them.

We suggest that you have a crate for your puppy. They are safer in a crate and more comfortable in there when you are unable to give them your full attention.

The first few nights you may want to take your puppy outside to use the bathroom. Eventually, the puppy will be able to go all night long without having to go out.

Five minutes after feeding your puppy they will have to go out, you should give them enough time to play and use the bathroom. Puppies drink a lot of water and they pee almost immediately after drinking. Puppies have very tiny bladders and they will be about 12 weeks old before they can gain control of their bladder.
